A pair of large, bakelite dice recovered from an Estate Sale in Southern California. Beautiful preowned condition with a few scratches. A few of the dots have a bit of color missing where the edge of the dots meet the face of the die, and. Each has a small chip missing from an edge.

One chip is between the 1 and 2 dot faces and the other is between the 2 and 6 dot faces. Very well made with smooth, rounded corners and the pair feel substantial yet natural when held together in one hand. When held up to a light, you can see through them and see the dots on the opposite side. Each is marked "AUSTRIA" on the 1 dot face.

Each measures approximately 1.5 diameter squared and each weighs just over 63 grams! That's nearly 127 grams combined!

Please note that the digital caliper used in the last picture set is brand new. The measurements shown with the wooden ruler are more my comfort level, however, they too are approximate. Neither the ruler nor the caliper are part of this listing.

I also picked up the brown, leather tumbler as seen in the pictures since they were sitting close together on the same table but I have no idea if they are actually supposed to go together. Since the dice fit without enough room to "tumble", I would imagine their purpose once inside, might be simply a storage option. The tumbler, although slightly shorter than your typical pen cup, could very easily be used to hold pens and such if you would prefer it over holding the dice. I did look around for a lid and was not so thrilled I wasn't able to find one. I've already checked my leather supplies and I don't have anything that would match or I would make a lid.

Perhaps a drawstring pouch would be a more appealing option? Again, please message me with your preference s. Ooner is better for this option to be realistic.

As I would make the pouch by hand with every effort to match your color/pattern/style request. I have resisted the urge to clean them as I have all the necessary recommended supplies ready to get to work.

However, for some, cleaning and revealing is part of the fun of getting to know your new treasure. So I will continue to embrace the resistance and I will package them well and send them in a corrugated box to ensure they arrive to you in the same beautiful condition you see in the pictures. Although, the pictures really don't do them justice.

I just know that once they're all cleaned up, they will be even more gorgeous. Please note that properly cleaning the dice will likely reveal additional unique features or may perhaps remove a cosmetic imperfection masquerading as an unoriginal, physical characteristic. Please view the pictures carefully as they show the actual items you will receive. I will accommodate all reasonable requests within 24 hours (more likely to be a fraction of that). Please keep in mind that the actual colors may vary as screens can be adjusted by the individual user.
