70s 80s 90s Disco Dance DJ Vinyl Records Music Collection 860 12 Singles Albums    70s 80s 90s Disco Dance DJ Vinyl Records Music Collection 860 12 Singles Albums

This is a collection of 1960s, 1970s, 1980s through 1990s of Disco, Dance, and Pop 12 Singles and Albums I have collected over the years. Vinyl has been loved and taken care, however some jackets show wear from age, shelf wear, or other imperfections.

Fair representation of dance music from the 70s to 90s. Special editions of colored vinyl and special remixed versions some with cold endings.

History: I started listening to music on the RADIO in the 1970s. I was inspired by Pop Music that was motivational and had a beat to dance to. The main reason for my interest in that type of music rather than country was that I was bullied at school almost everyday and was emotionally made whole by songs that had a good message or good beat. Radio, Boogie Woogie Dancing Shoes or Born to be Alive.

So, when I was in high school and able to afford something, the dollars saved was spent on vinyl at Music Stores such as Musicland or Tower Records in Campbell, California. Through the 90s I kept my ear to new music that was played on the radio. But later, in the 2000s, with the availability of MP3s, when the hard copy of a song was limited to CD or not available except on MP3, the new music had less and less influence on my daily life and therefore my vinyl collection stopped.

The invention of MP3 when one can just delete a song at a press of a button has fundamentally changed the music industry whereas one is not connected to a song by having a physical representation of it by vinyl. Note: Most records have been played, may show wear from being played. The collection is up for sale AS IS condition without me sampling each and every record therefore these are being presented as used and playable condition and could have hisses or pops and I do not know or remember which ones have or have not those but I would say not that many. A true audio vinyl buff will enjoy the rawness of the vinyl as I did for so many years and the records of course can be copied to CD or computer and cleaned up or enhanced. This is why having vinyl has been important to me, but sometimes one just needs to let go of things and let someone else enjoy.

Records are now boxed in alphabetical order by name of group or last name. There are some repeating titles because there is more than one copy (for DJing/mixing) and some copies have different covers or are instrumental versions. Some covers are damaged, show wear and just plain awful while most others are in as new condition.

Just too many records to list the condition of each cover or jacket. List of Vinyl by Artist.
