Vintage Matilde Eugenia Poulat MATL. 925 Sterling Silver Amethyst, Coral and Turquoise Jewelry Collection.

Presenting a Vintage MATILDE POULAT MATL. Matilde Poulat passed in 1960. This Collection is made up of fine examples of the MATL style and showcases all of the detailing expected in her mid-2oth century MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE jewelry designs. Collection is offered SUBJECT TO ALL PIECES REMAINING AVAILABLE. In beautiful vintage condition, all stones remain tight in their settings.

Any cleaning or polishing desired will be left to new owner. Seven (7) different silver-mounted, polished cabochon amethyst stones each framed by 10 silver-mounted turquoise stones and then mounted on scalloped silver oval supports linked and securely closed with an open box silver clasp. A total of 77 stones mounted on a sterling silver link bracelet with a total closed length of 7 inches. Signature plate (photographed) is mounted on reverse of middle scalloped oval support.

LARGE IMPORTANT EARLY SIGNED MATL CHRISTIAN CROSS PENDANT. Incorporating Christian design components of traditional Maltese and Galicia crosses the latter found extensively throughout Spains famed Santiago de Compostela and a variation of the Celtic cross -- and further centered by a faceted amethyst nimbus, this large baroque multi-stone sterling silver pendant cross measures approximately 3 3/16 inches in height (approximately 8.3 cm) by 2 ¼ inches in width (5.8 cm). In addition to the centered faceted amethyst, the intricately-hand-worked piece includes 12 coral cabochon teardrops, 96 turquoise channel-mounted droplets, not to mention ornately-applied swirled silver ornamentation and delicate silver finials along edges. Hand signature with silver content, patent information and registration number on reverse and as depicted in photos.

Ring rarely was worn and has been in storage for the last half century. Round face diameter measures approximately 7/8 inches (2 cm). Center amethyst diameter measures approximately ½ inch (1 cm).

10 round turquoise stones in channel mounting surround center-mounted amethyst that further is surrounded by a delicate rope. Delicate applied silver swirls support ring shoulders and then gracefully continue along outer band. Markings appear on inner band per photos. Presenting a classic pair of vintage MATILDE POULAT MATL Signed. Matilde Poulat, one of the most collectible of all 20. Century Mexican Renaissance Silversmiths, passed in 1960.

Earrings rarely were worn and have been in storage for the last half century. The classic MATL square mounting is centered by a faceted amethyst framed by delicate silver roping and then surrounded on all four sides by classic MATL channel mounted turquoise cabs. Each earring boasts a center-faceted amethyst as well as 12 turquoise cabs, three flanking each side of the roughly square faceted amethyst. Approximate overall face dimension of each earring = 2 cm.

In beautiful original condition, all stones remain tight in their settings. Brooch was never worn and has been in storage for the last half century. Because this brooch is composed of three linked sections and finished with four dangling teardrops, the piece offers naturally graceful movement. The brooch also boasts three (3) faceted amethysts, 37 turquoise cabs and four (4) coral cabs and is finished with elaborate, pierced silver side scrolls. Approximate measurements: Length = 3 ½ inches; Width = 2 5/8 inches.

Reverse carries a safety clasp (rollover clasp or locking C clasp) that began to be used in 1910. Silver content, MEXICO and ME02 stamped on reverse of lower most component as photographed.

Classic MATILDE POULAT MATL European Renaissance cross, a design brought to Mexico from Spain in the early 16. 925, the cross pendant features six (6) faceted amethyst gemstones along with a total of 43 turquoise cabs, channel-mounted, a MATL hallmark. At the foot of the cross hangs an additional and unusual silver crescent-like swing framing four turquoise cabs in channel setting.

The cross also still carries the original loop intended to hold a chain. Per photos, reverse reveals etched MATL.

925 silver content, Mexico and m-REG 10463. Approximate dimensions: LENGTH = 3.5 inches; WIDTH = 2.5 inches.
