"Countdown to the Millennium" - Pins. 102 Pin Set In Original Sealed Packages. The Disney Store's Countdown to the Millennium Complete 102 Pins Set. This set of Pins was released at the Disney Stores in the last few months of 1999. Each week six or seven Pins commemorating Disney Characters from Movies and TV Shows were released in separate sealed packs at Disney Stores.

Collectors eager to collect all 102 Pins lined up each Saturday hours before the Disney Stores were to open. Each Pin indicates the year the subject was released. The Pins are mounted on a black and silver art-deco card with the "Countdown to the Millennium" Logo of Mickey looking into the future through one of the zeros in the number 2000.

Each Pin package states how many additional pins will be issued before New Year's Eve. This set was Disney's first attempt at a Pin collection series, and coincided with the beginning of pin trading during the Countdown to the Millennium Celebration at Walt Disney World. The original Pin # 94.

Is a TV set with rabbit ears and coon skin hat hanging off the edge with "1947" on the TV screen. A new Pin - # 94A - with the correct year of "1954" was released later.
