WWI era GERMAN M1897 SAXON OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE for a TECHNICAL OFFICER. Desirable "Depahag" type Black-fiber body helmet with tall silver spike & trim; Body has excellent form and tight stitching throughout.

NO extra holes in helmet body with all original fasteners in place. Officer-quality silk head liner and wide leather sweatband marked with the "Depahag Patent" logo ; Officers Red & Green colored leather visors; Extremely Tall silver officer's spike with large Saxon Officers silver & gilt-Starburst front plate. Silver rounded chin scales having attached black leather buckle-chinstrap with large Reichs & Saxon-State cockades to each side; larger size helmet about a 57-58; an exquisite example nearly impossible to upgrade.
