NOTE: All of these bands have some degree of blemish. From a scuff or spot on the leather to chew marks and greater damage.

The box that all the headbands were stored in was violated by a mouse at one point in time. I guess he thought hey, this box looks like a nice place to chew into and make a little home for myself. I have no use for these, and I'm sure someone else can.

I tried to take pics of the damage as best I can with the limited pics I can post. For the asking price, they are a bargain.

A very strong QM gov't contractor ink stamping on the tail indicates: HICKOK. Mfgr'ed circa MAY 1943. Correct original GREEN phosphate-finished retaining bite clips, loop-thru adjusting buckle is STEEL and also green phosphate-finished. Khaki SHBT in rare "single" V weave pattern on the cloth section. The zig-zag serrated cut has been factory dipped in hardening solution as NOT to fray, as is the material at the buckle to help reinforce the stitching.

Images from the Mark Reynosa Schiffer book, Peter Oosterman's M1 reference book, and HELMETS OF THE ETO by Girard and Blais. Condition is unissued and unused, but have damage and/or blemishes as detailed in the pictures. These are NOT top collector/museum grade specimens. They are original and usable and Hickok is extremely rare. These are 100% authentic, WW2 vintage, HICKOK head bands, not some cheap REPRODUCTION, not a FAKE, not a movie prop, not an AFTERMARKET re-enactor helmet part. These are the real thing. In storage for over 50 years in a single private collection.

It is very seldom an unissued head liner band comes on the market, rarer to find one of WW2 vintage, rarer yet to find a Hickok. Here's your chance to get yours below it's market value, and just a little more than fakes or reproductions. Once these are GONE, that is it, no perfects or blems or anything. I have no more Hickoks and never will.

These are probably the last unissued HICKOK bands anywhere, despite being blemished. I know how that can feel, as I've done it too. But I own it when I do. I can't stress that enough. I'm not a scam artist or some devious dude with bad intent. What are you looking down here for?
