Antique Crystal Ball with Stand once owned by a judge, and it sat on his desk for many years, until the day he died. Extra large crystal ball at 150 mm about the size of a small melon or very large grapefruit. Crystal clear without any noticeable blemishes. Unique stand is actually an antique ink well with attached tray. This was used long before Bic became a household name. Stand looks like its made of brass. The most amazing feature are the four sphinxes which grace each of the four corners of the ink well. With the body of a lion and head of a woman, Sphinxs are known as guardians of ancient secrets! The ink well is attached to the tray and there are four pins on the underside which secure the ink well to the tray. Two of the pins are missing and so you can physically wiggle the sphinxes, but it is still very secure and the missing pins do not cause a problem. Im the Director of the Spirits of the Rockies Paranormal Convention, now in our 7th year, and this Crystal Ball was donated by one of our patrons in order to help raise monies for our annual event. This fall our event will be held in Cripple Creek, CO. Beware: This Oracle is supposedly haunted by its former owner, as his image can sometimes be seen inside the ball!
