La Genuina Amethyst Mine, 19 miles south of Artigas, Artigas Department, Uruguay. There are some great specimens in this lot of 7 pieces, all polished slices of amethyst cut from crystal-coated stalactites found in Uruguay, then polished to a brilliant luster.

The amethyst is a rich purple color, and the slices reveal the bulls-eye patterns created by concentric rings at the center of the slices, which also have terminated purple amethyst crystals on the outside edges. These are colorful and highly collectible examples of this unusual form of amethyst.
