A very rare and beautiful set of 20 Antique Authentic Delft delftware tiles carreaux with beautiful naive painted shepherd scenes. Identical tiles can be found in MAJOR Museum collections as the Rijksmuseum, The V&A- London etc. These larger sets, of 20 tiles, are extremely hard to find nowadays. Also ideal for a fireplace surround or a sensational display in your kitchen. There are many tiles which look more or less the same in decoration / design but are 19th. The value of these are, of course, completely different. Also nowadays there are many old looking Delft tiles and tile pictures which are brand new or fakes, so be careful!!! We are THE ANTIQUE Delft tile specialist of The Netherlands and have a hughe stock of original Dutch Delft tiles, blue and white, manganese and early polychrome majolica maiolica tiles from the late 16th. Date of these tiles: circa 1760 - 1780. Some tiles with minor glaze flakes and chips, - SEE PHOTOS!!! 2 tiles with a small corner glued back, nearly visible and 1 tile broken across, clean break, nearly visible.

All tiles checked with the point of a sharp scalpel!! ALL tiles are fully, EXPERT, cleaned / No old cement rests! We also have a good collection of original authentic 17th. Century Delft, delftware, German stoneware etc. If you are looking for anything specific feel free to ask.
