Stunning white porcelain with a dark black rim, a cast silver top and rated up to 150 watts, they're perfect for most applications. Two of the lights have their beautiful manufacturers decals. These lights, manufactured by Westinghouse, utilize a heavy, ceramic/porcelain insulator that makes these lights unique in the industrial lighting world.

Forever being innovators, the talented Westinghouse engineers topped it off with a cast aluminum top! They were obviously trying to put the best light they could possibly design into the marketplace.. Amazingly, the silver cast-aluminum tops seen in this listing, all possess their original silver paint.

To remove the shade, simply loosen three screws, provide a slight twist and bring it down. Please take note of the ventilation slots near the top.

Designed to allow the escape of warm air, they serendipitously add a wonderful glow to the top of the light and possibly shadows to the ceiling or walls depending on proximity to the ceiling and wattage of the bulbs. These lights are rarely offered for sale. The lights were disassembled and cleaned.

Proper and safe recommissioning of Westinghouse lights is a bit more involved than most other lights and requires a great deal of care. The asbestos gaskets and asbestos laden caulk was all removed from the socket. Removing the asbestos is not the end of the process, it was there for a reason and needs equivalent materials to replace it. This HAS been done on these lights , they will perform as safely as ever.

The lights were then reassembled and tested. Importantly, a ground wire has been added for code compliance and safety. The condition of these lights is amazing, a couple of tiny edge chips at most, very hard to find better. I'll call them A's. The 6" down-rod is galvanized steel and 6 inches long and a stout 3/4" diameter. I will swap it for one of 12 inches free of charge. From the bottom edge to the top of the cast-aluminum top, measures 9 inches.

The total fixture, including the newer hanger and down-rod and, is about 15 inches tall. The diameter is 14 inches. The regular medium base socket accommodates regular, medium base household bulbs. The shades will need to be reinstalled as described above.

I will include the wire-nuts! (Might save a trip to the hardware store). All electrical items should be checked and installed by a professional electrician. I'm a very fast and careful shipper.
