East German General Officer's Formal Dress Uniform, White Tunic, Pants, Visor

  
An ULTRA-RARE, Never before seen for sale, original East German Army General Officer's Formal/Full Dress uniform set. The visor cap is size 58 and in minty condition. The ULTRA-RARE white General's formal dress tunic is the first one ever seen for sale. This is by far the rarest of all the EG General's jackets to exist. This white jacket is in excellent plus condition with only the slightest wear and no visible staining to the exterior!

The General's special ribbon bar is also custom made directly onto white fabric to be worn on this white tunic. These decorations make this a researchable tunic if you have the ability to do so. As with all East German tunics the shoulder boards are removable so there is no way beyond a shadow of a doubt I can say they are original to this tunic but......

It came from the German father and son company which operated in Glendale, Arizona. My very dear friend, now past, Gerhard Franzky was the warehouse manager and he always called me when a new container arrived from Germany.

I would go to the warehouse and assist in the unloading and had first pick of what came out. This was one such uniform set I obtained in this manner. This jacket and pants came together on the same hanger, the visor cap also came from this same container but was separate but correct for this uniform so I cannot state it belongs to this same General but there is a good chance it did. Original Soviet General Officer's school graduation diamond is also included exactly as shown. This diamond has always been on this tunic as you can see from the jacket interior photo where the screw back is discolored the white lining from length of time being on this jacket.

The interior dagger hanger has a couple of knots in it which attests to a form fitting done by its former owner to accommodate the proper length of wear for his General's dress dagger and hangers (which I also have). From wearing the heavy dagger, the dagger hanger strap has separated a little of the liner at the interior under arm section.

I left it as is and never tried to repair it to maintain its original condition. I can supply a photo if necessary, just ask! All the gold General buttons and interior white plastic buttons are in place and original to the tunic. Size is Medium to large. If requested I can send you specific measurements of any part of this offering. The Army General's straight leg pants are of top quality and custom made for this general. There are 2 photos which show the special and not often found on other General's pants such as the pant cuff reinforcement strips to hold the permanent hem in place. Pant size is 38 inch waist and 31 inch length.
