Native American turquoise necklace and cuff bracelet set

Native American style sleeping beauty turquoise necklace, with matching cuff bracelet, having mother of pearl and black onyx (or jet) inlays on sterling silver backings. All in the Zuni (sun face) fashion but is most likely of Hopi or Navajo provenance being procured through an agent in Flagstaff, AZ in 2006.

Worn only on "formal dinner" nights aboard cruise ships until 2009 when the owner was lost to cancer. The necklace features a hinged plate with a circle of 12 needlepoint turquoise stones with a center dot holding a suspended medallion 2.5 in diameter comprised of 20 larger turquoise stones tipped with mother of pearl and jet surrounding a tri-color sun face (Zuni style) itself surrounded by 20 turquoise needles all held by sterling silver wire accented with sterling beads. The medallion and hinged plate hang from twin arms of 11 large stones held by sterling oval links terminating in a classic hook/eye clasp allowing modest adjustments in length.

Four extra links are included allowing for even further extension if desired (2 solid links and two open links with turquoise dots) The bracelet is a near perfect match to the 2.5" medallion having extended skirts of 7 stones each on two sides all on a sterling open cuff having a 1 1/4" gap.
