This one coms with wiring loom and earphones. This fine example comes without front goggle straps and features an chinstrap and a fixed clip on the right side to accommodate the oxygen mask attachment hook. The set has belong to Murray Vagnolini better known as Valentine.
He was a radio operator on a Lancaster in the squadron of the Dam-busters. Provenance as it came from his family. The goggles are used but good, classic Mk8 goggles. Featuring leather construction with suede lining steel eye brackets encasing clear and dark glass lenses (no cracks or chips) with a classic cotton strap! It comes together with the original box. Also included is a very rare oxygen mask Type C complete with electrical plug, straps and marked A4-45. The mask is in very good condition. It is a rare mask since it's marking is from april 1945, they are. Developed in'44 /'45 so they are just sortely used in wartime and therefore rare, more common are the post-war ones since they were used till the end of the'50th's.There is also a cockpit-light in this lot and a Belt with a. The head is no part of the lot. A wonderfull set in a very good condition!!
